Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Edwiser Bridge plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.0.6
Description
The issue is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on several functions, including
user data synchronization initiater(), course synchronization initiater(), users link to moodle synchronization(), connection test initiater(), admin menus(), and subscribe handler(). This allows unauthenticated attackers to perform unauthorized actions via a forged request if they can trick a site administrator into performing an action, such as clicking on a link.Recommendations
For Edwiser Bridge plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.0.6, consider disabling the
user data synchronization initiater(), course synchronization initiater(), users link to moodle synchronization(), connection test initiater(), admin menus(), and subscribe handler() functions until a patch is available to prevent unauthorized actions.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.CSRF
