Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Slider Hero plugin for WordPress versions up to and including 8.2.0
Description
The issue is related to Cross-Site Request Forgery due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the
qc slider hero duplicate() function. This allows unauthenticated attackers to duplicate slides by tricking a site administrator into performing an action, such as clicking on a link.Recommendations
For Slider Hero plugin for WordPress versions up to and including 8.2.0, update to a version that includes the fix for the nonce validation issue in the
qc slider hero duplicate() function. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the qc slider hero duplicate() function to prevent unauthorized slide duplication.Fix
