CVE-2021-4425

CVSS v3.1

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Defender Security plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.4.6
Description The issue is related to Cross-Site Request Forgery due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the verify otp login time() function. This allows unauthenticated attackers to verify a one-time login via a forged request if they can trick a site administrator into performing an action, such as clicking on a link.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 2.4.6, update to a version that includes the fix for the missing or incorrect nonce validation in the verify otp login time() function. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the verify otp login time() function until a patch is available.
