Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Android versions Android-13
Description
In the
parseTrackFragmentRun() function of MPEG4Extractor.cpp, there is a possible out of bounds read due to an integer overflow. This could lead to remote escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.Recommendations
For Android version Android-13, consider restricting access to the
parseTrackFragmentRun() function in MPEG4Extractor.cpp until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the MPEG4Extractor.cpp module to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Integer Overflow
