Description A stack-based buffer overflow issue may allow a privileged attacker to execute arbitrary code or commands via specifically crafted CLI operations, including execute backup-local rename and execute backup-local show.
Recommendations For FortiWeb versions 7.0.1 and earlier, update to a version later than 7.0.1 to resolve the issue. For FortiWeb version 6.4 and all versions, update to a version later than 6.4 to resolve the issue. For FortiWeb version 6.3.19 and earlier, update to a version later than 6.3.19 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the execute backup-local rename and execute backup-local show CLI operations until a patch is available.
