Description
A memory corruption vulnerability has been identified in the Jt1001.dll library while parsing specially crafted JT files. This issue can be exploited by an attacker to execute code in the context of the current process. The vulnerability is caused by a buffer overflow in memory.
Recommendations
For JT Open versions prior to V11.1.1.0, update to version V11.1.1.0 or later to resolve the issue.
For JT Utilities versions prior to V13.1.1.0, update to version V13.1.1.0 or later to resolve the issue.
For Solid Edge versions prior to V2023, update to version V2023 or later to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of the Jt1001.dll library until a patch is available. Avoid using the library to parse untrusted JT files.
