| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:H |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Images Optimize and Upload CF7 WordPress plugin versions 2.1.4 and earlier
Description
The issue concerns a lack of validation for files to be deleted via an AJAX action, which is accessible to unauthenticated users. This could allow attackers to delete arbitrary files on the server using a path traversal attack.
Recommendations
For versions 2.1.4 and earlier, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the AJAX action related to file deletion until a patch is available. Restrict access to the file deletion functionality to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
