CVE-2022-41010

CVSS v3.1

9.8

Critical

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Siretta QUARTZ-GOLD version G5.0.1.5-210720-141020
Description The issue concerns stack-based buffer overflow vulnerabilities in the DetranCLI command parsing functionality. These vulnerabilities can be triggered by a specially-crafted network packet, potentially leading to arbitrary command execution. An attacker can exploit this by sending a sequence of requests. The buffer overflow is specifically in the function managing the no port triger protocol (tcp|udp|tcp/udp) triger port <1-65535> forward port <1-65535> description WORD command template.
Recommendations For Siretta QUARTZ-GOLD version G5.0.1.5-210720-141020, consider disabling the DetranCLI command parsing functionality until a patch is available to prevent exploitation of the buffer overflow vulnerabilities. Restrict access to the command template no port triger protocol (tcp|udp|tcp/udp) triger port <1-65535> forward port <1-65535> description WORD to minimize the risk of arbitrary command execution.
