Description
An out-of-bounds write issue exists in the MOL2 format attribute and value functionality. A specially crafted malformed file can lead to arbitrary code execution. An attacker can provide a malicious file to trigger this issue.
Recommendations
For Open Babel version 3.1.1, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability in the master commit 530dbfa3.
