The issue is related to the lack of input sanitization in the NTPSyncWithHost function of the TOTOLINK CA300-PoE router's firmware. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands via the
host time parameter.Recommendations
For version 6.2c.884, consider disabling the
NTPSyncWithHost function until a patch is available to prevent exploitation through the host time parameter.
