Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
V-Server versions 4.0.12.0 and earlier
Description
A stack-based buffer overflow issue allows a local attacker to obtain information and/or execute arbitrary code by having a user open a specially crafted project file.
Recommendations
For versions 4.0.12.0 and earlier, consider restricting access to project files from untrusted sources until a patch is available.
As a temporary workaround, avoid opening project files from unknown or unverified locations to minimize the risk of exploitation.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
