CVE-2023-0162

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions CPO Companion plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.0.4
Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via several content type settings parameters due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows authenticated attackers with administrator-level permissions and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 1.0.4, update to a version later than 1.0.4 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the content type settings parameters to minimize the risk of exploitation. Additionally, ensure proper input sanitization and output escaping to prevent arbitrary web script injections.
