| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Custom 404 Pro plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 3.7.1
Description
The issue is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the
custom 404 pro admin init function, making it possible for unauthenticated attackers to delete logs via forged requests. This can happen if an attacker can trick a site administrator into performing an action, such as clicking on a link.Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 3.7.1, consider disabling the
custom 404 pro admin init function until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to the plugin's administrative interface to minimize the risk of attackers tricking site administrators into performing malicious actions.Fix
