Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
The Quick Restaurant Menu plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.0.2
Description
The issue allows authenticated attackers with subscriber-level permissions and above to bypass authorization and invoke actions intended for administrator use. This includes menu item creation, update, and deletion, as well as other menu management functions. The problem arises because the plugin does not verify that a post ID passed to one of its AJAX actions belongs to a menu item, which can lead to arbitrary post deletion or alteration.
Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 2.0.2, update to a version that includes a fix for this issue to prevent unauthorized access to menu management functions.
