CVE-2023-0723

CVSS v3.1

5.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Wicked Folders plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.18.16
Description The issue is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the ajax move object function, making it possible for unauthenticated attackers to invoke this function via forged requests. Attackers can trick a site administrator into performing an action, such as clicking on a link, to perform actions intended for administrators, including changing the folder structure maintained by the plugin.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 2.18.16, update to a version that includes the fix for the missing or incorrect nonce validation on the ajax move object function. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the ajax move object function to minimize the risk of exploitation.
