Description The issue is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the ajax add folder function, making it possible for unauthenticated attackers to invoke this function via forged requests. Attackers can trick a site administrator into performing an action, such as clicking on a link, to perform actions intended for administrators, including changing the folder structure maintained by the plugin.
Recommendations For Wicked Folders plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.18.16, consider disabling the ajax add folder function until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to the plugin's functionality to minimize the risk of unauthorized changes to the folder structure.
