CVE-2023-0725

CVSS v3.1

5.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Wicked Folders plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.18.16
Description The issue is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the ajax clone folder function, making it possible for unauthenticated attackers to invoke this function via forged requests. Attackers can trick a site administrator into performing an action, such as clicking on a link, to perform actions intended for administrators, including changing the folder structure maintained by the plugin.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 2.18.16, update to a version that includes the fix for the missing or incorrect nonce validation on the ajax clone folder function. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the ajax clone folder function until a patch is available. Restrict access to the plugin's functionality to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the plugin's features that rely on the ajax clone folder function until the issue is resolved.
