| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:L |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
YourChannel plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.2.3
Description
The issue is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the
clearKeys function, making it possible for unauthenticated attackers to reset the plugin's channel settings via a forged request. This can be achieved if an attacker can trick a site administrator into performing an action, such as clicking on a link.Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 1.2.3, update to a version that includes proper nonce validation for the
clearKeys function to prevent Cross-Site Request Forgery attacks. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the clearKeys function until a patch is available.Fix
