Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
WP Fastest Cache plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.1.2
Description
The issue is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the
wpfc preload single save settings callback function, making it possible for unauthenticated attackers to change cache-related settings via a forged request. This can happen if an attacker can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.Recommendations
For WP Fastest Cache plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.1.2, consider disabling the
wpfc preload single save settings callback function until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to cache-related settings to minimize the risk of unauthorized changes.Fix
