CVSS v3.1

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions WP Fastest Cache plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.1.2
Description The issue is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the wpfc start cdn integration ajax request callback function, making it possible for unauthenticated attackers to change cdn settings via a forged request. This can happen if an attacker can trick a site administrator into performing an action, such as clicking on a link.
Recommendations For WP Fastest Cache plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.1.2, consider disabling the wpfc start cdn integration ajax request callback function until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to cdn settings to minimize the risk of unauthorized changes. Avoid using the vulnerable function to process ajax requests until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
