| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
The Essential Blocks plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 4.0.6
Description
The issue is due to a missing capability check on the
template count function, allowing subscriber-level attackers to obtain plugin template information. A nonce check is present but only executed when a nonce is provided, and not providing a nonce results in the nonce verification being skipped.Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 4.0.6, consider disabling the
template count function until a patch is available to prevent unauthorized use of functionality. Restrict access to the template information to minimize the risk of exploitation.Fix
