| Vector | AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Android versions prior to the fixed version
Description
The issue is related to a missing permission check in the getAvailabilityStatus of several Transcode Permission Controllers. This could lead to a local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not required for exploitation.
Recommendations
For Android versions prior to the fixed version, consider restricting access to the Transcode Permission Controllers until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, disabling the affected controllers may help minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
