CVE-2023-21107

CVSS v3.1

7.8

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Android versions Android-11 through Android-13
Description The issue is related to a missing permission check in the retrieveAppEntry function of NotificationAccessDetails.java. This could lead to local escalation of privilege across user boundaries with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not required for exploitation.
Recommendations For Android versions Android-11 through Android-13, consider restricting access to the retrieveAppEntry function in NotificationAccessDetails.java until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, review and enforce strict permission checks to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
