Description
The issue is related to a buffer overflow in the
validateForCommonR1andR2 function of PasspointConfiguration.java. This could lead to local denial of service with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is required for exploitation.Recommendations
For Android versions prior to the fixed version, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting user interaction with the
PasspointConfiguration until a patch is available.
