Description
The issue is related to a missing permission check in the
updateSettingsInternalLI function of InstallPackageHelper.java, allowing an app to be sideloaded in the work profile. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not required for exploitation.Recommendations
For versions prior to the fixed version, consider restricting access to the
updateSettingsInternalLI function of InstallPackageHelper.java to minimize the risk of exploitation.
