Description
The issue is related to incorrect checking of the return value of a method or function in the Tbase database server of the B&R APROL software solution for monitoring industrial systems. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to cause a denial of service. The vulnerability is triggered by specially formatted data packages sent to port 55502/tcp.
Recommendations
For versions prior to R 4.2-07, update to version R 4.2-07 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to port 55502/tcp to minimize the risk of exploitation.
