Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
TitanFTP versions 1.94.1205 and earlier
Description
The issue concerns a path traversal vulnerability in the
newPath parameter of the move-file function. This allows an authenticated attacker to upload any file and then move it to any location on the server's filesystem.Recommendations
For TitanFTP versions 1.94.1205 and earlier, consider restricting access to the move-file function until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the
newPath parameter in the move-file function to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
