CVE-2023-2354

CVSS v3.1

5.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions CHP Ads Block Detector plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 3.9.4
Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via admin settings reachable through an AJAX action due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level permissions and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 3.9.4, update to a version higher than 3.9.4 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to admin settings and AJAX actions to minimize the risk of exploitation.
