Description
The issue is related to accessing throttled streams, where the count of available bytes needed to be checked in the calling function to be within bounds. This may have led to future code being incorrect and vulnerable. The vulnerability is associated with a buffer overflow in memory when checking the number of available bytes in throttled streams, which could allow a remote attacker to disclose protected information.
Recommendations
For Firefox versions prior to 111, update to version 111 or later to resolve the issue.
For Firefox ESR versions prior to 102.9, update to version 102.9 or later to resolve the issue.
For Thunderbird versions prior to 102.9, update to version 102.9 or later to resolve the issue.
