CVE-2023-1221

CVSS v2.0

5.0

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Google Chrome versions prior to 111.0.5563.64
Description The issue is related to insufficient policy enforcement in the Extensions API, allowing an attacker to bypass navigation restrictions by convincing a user to install a malicious extension. This can be achieved via a crafted Chrome Extension.
Recommendations For versions prior to 111.0.5563.64, update to version 111.0.5563.64 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the installation of extensions to trusted sources until the update is applied.
