CVE-2023-2517

CVSS v3.1

5.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:L
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Metform Elementor Contact Form Builder plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 3.3.2
Description The issue is related to Cross-Site Request Forgery due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the permalink setup function. This allows unauthenticated attackers to change the permalink structure via a forged request if they can trick a site administrator into performing an action, such as clicking on a link. Although nonce verification is implemented, it only occurs when a nonce is provided.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 3.3.2, update to a version that includes the fix for the missing or incorrect nonce validation on the permalink setup function to prevent Cross-Site Request Forgery attacks. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the permalink setup function until a patch is available.
