CVSS v3.1
8.8
High
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
The Contact Form by Supsystic plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.7.24
Description
The issue is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the AJAX action handler, making it possible for unauthenticated attackers to execute AJAX actions via a forged request. This can happen if an attacker can trick a site administrator into performing an action, such as clicking on a link.
Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 1.7.24, update to a version higher than 1.7.24 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the AJAX action handler to minimize the risk of exploitation.
