CVE-2023-26847

CVSS v3.1

5.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions OpenCATS version 0.9.7
Description A stored cross-site scripting (XSS) issue allows attackers to execute arbitrary web scripts or HTML via a crafted payload injected into the state parameter at "opencats/index.php?m=candidates". This enables attackers to potentially manipulate the web application's behavior.
Recommendations For OpenCATS version 0.9.7, consider disabling access to the "opencats/index.php?m=candidates" endpoint until a patch is available, or restrict the use of the state parameter to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
