CVE-2023-28674

CVSS v3.1

8.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Jenkins OctoPerf Load Testing Plugin Plugin versions 4.5.2 and earlier
Description A cross-site request forgery (CSRF) vulnerability allows attackers to connect to a previously configured Octoperf server using attacker-specified credentials. The issue arises from the lack of permission checks in several HTTP endpoints, which can be exploited by attackers with Overall/Read permission. These endpoints do not require POST requests, further contributing to the vulnerability.
Recommendations For versions 4.5.2 and earlier, update to version 4.5.3 or later, which requires POST requests and the appropriate permissions for the affected HTTP endpoints. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the affected HTTP endpoints to minimize the risk of exploitation.
