Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
AeroCMS version 0.0.1
Description
The issue allows attackers to execute arbitrary web scripts or HTML via a crafted payload, exploiting multiple stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities. These vulnerabilities are accessible via the
comment author and comment content parameters at the "/post.php" API endpoint.Recommendations
For AeroCMS version 0.0.1, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the parameters
comment author and comment content in the "/post.php" endpoint until a patch is available. Restrict access to the "/post.php" endpoint to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
