Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Jenkins Quay.io trigger Plugin versions 0.1 and earlier
Description
The issue is related to a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability. It occurs because the plugin does not limit URL schemes for repository homepage URLs submitted via Quay.io trigger webhooks. This allows attackers who can submit crafted Quay.io trigger webhook payloads to exploit the vulnerability.
Recommendations
For Jenkins Quay.io trigger Plugin versions 0.1 and earlier, consider disabling the Quay.io trigger webhook functionality until a patch is available to prevent exploitation of the stored cross-site scripting vulnerability. Restrict access to the plugin's repository homepage URL submission feature to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
