Description
The issue is a Heap-based Buffer Overflow that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious file. This allows an attacker to potentially execute arbitrary code by using a specially crafted file.
Recommendations
For Adobe Substance 3D Designer versions 12.4.0 and earlier, as a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of USD file parsing until a patch is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
