CVE-2023-31441

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions anet (aka Advisor Network) versions 3.3.0 and earlier
Description The issue allows an attacker to provide a crafted JSON file to sanitizeJson and cause an exception. This is related to the U+FFFD Unicode replacement character. A for loop does not consider that a data structure is being modified during loop execution.
Recommendations For versions 3.3.0 and earlier, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the sanitizeJson function until a patch is available. Restrict access to the JSON file processing module to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the crafted JSON files in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
