CVSS v3.1

7.2

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linksys E2000 router version 1.0.06
Description The issue is a command injection vulnerability. If an attacker gains web management privileges, they can inject commands into the post request parameters wl ssid, wl ant, wl rate, WL atten ctl, ttcp num, ttcp size in the httpd's Start EPI() function, thereby gaining shell privileges.
Recommendations For version 1.0.06, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the httpd's Start EPI() function until a patch is available. Avoid using the parameters wl ssid, wl ant, wl rate, WL atten ctl, ttcp num, ttcp size in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
