CVE-2023-3371

CVSS v3.1

7.5

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions User Registration plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 3.7.3
Description The issue is related to Sensitive Information Exposure due to a hardcoded encryption key in the lock content form handler and display password form functions. This allows unauthenticated attackers to decrypt and view password-protected content.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 3.7.3, consider disabling the lock content form handler and display password form functions as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to password-protected content to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
