Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
User Registration plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 3.7.3
Description
The issue is related to Sensitive Information Exposure due to a hardcoded encryption key in the
lock content form handler and display password form functions. This allows unauthenticated attackers to decrypt and view password-protected content.Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 3.7.3, consider disabling the
lock content form handler and display password form functions as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to password-protected content to minimize the risk of exploitation.
