CVSS v3.1

| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Briar versions prior to 1.4.22
Description
The issue allows attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in repeated application crashes, by sending a series of long messages to a contact. This is achieved through the Bramble Synchronisation Protocol (BSP) in Briar.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 1.4.22, update to version 1.4.22 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the length of incoming messages to prevent repeated application crashes.
