CVE-2023-3650

CVSS v3.1

4.8

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Bubble Menu WordPress plugin version 3.0.4 and earlier
Description The issue allows high-privilege users, such as admins, to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks, even when the unfiltered html capability is disallowed, for example, in a multisite setup. This is due to the plugin not sanitizing and escaping some of its settings.
Recommendations For Bubble Menu WordPress plugin versions prior to 3.0.5, update to version 3.0.5 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the unfiltered html capability for high-privilege users to minimize the risk of exploitation.
