CVE-2023-3667

CVSS v3.1

4.8

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Bit Assist WordPress plugin versions prior to 1.1.9
Description The issue allows high privilege users, such as admins, to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks. This is possible because some settings are not properly sanitised and escaped, and this vulnerability can be exploited even when the unfiltered html capability is disallowed, for example in a multisite setup.
Recommendations For versions prior to 1.1.9, update to version 1.1.9 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the plugin's settings for high privilege users until the update is applied.
