Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions EnterpriseDB Postgres Advanced Server (EPAS) versions prior to 11.21.32 EnterpriseDB Postgres Advanced Server (EPAS) versions 12.x prior to 12.16.20 EnterpriseDB Postgres Advanced Server (EPAS) versions 13.x prior to 13.12.16 EnterpriseDB Postgres Advanced Server (EPAS) versions 14.x prior to 14.9.0 EnterpriseDB Postgres Advanced Server (EPAS) versions 15.x prior to 15.4.0
Description The issue concerns the functions get url as text and get url as bytea that are publicly executable, allowing an authenticated user to read any file from the local filesystem or remote system regardless of that user's permissions.
Recommendations For versions prior to 11.21.32, update to version 11.21.32 or later. For versions 12.x prior to 12.16.20, update to version 12.16.20 or later. For versions 13.x prior to 13.12.16, update to version 13.12.16 or later. For versions 14.x prior to 14.9.0, update to version 14.9.0 or later. For versions 15.x prior to 15.4.0, update to version 15.4.0 or later. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the get url as text and get url as bytea functions until a patch is applied.
