Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Absolute Privacy plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.1
Description
The issue is due to missing nonce validation on the
abpr profileShortcode function, making it possible for unauthenticated attackers to change user email and password via a forged request. This can happen if an attacker can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 2.1, consider disabling the
abpr profileShortcode function until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to sensitive user information to minimize the risk of unauthorized changes. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.CSRF
