Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Geeklog-Core geeklog version 2.2.2
Description
A Cross Site Scripting (XSS) issue allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code via a crafted payload to the
grp desc parameter of the "admin/group.php" component. This enables the attacker to inject malicious scripts into the website, potentially leading to unauthorized access or data theft.Recommendations
For version 2.2.2, consider disabling the
grp desc parameter in the admin/group.php component until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to the admin/group.php component to minimize the risk of arbitrary code execution. Avoid using the grp desc parameter in the affected component until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
