Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Peppermint Ticket Management versions 0.2.4 and earlier
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a "/api/v1/ticket/1/file/download?filepath=../" POST request. This is achieved by exploiting the
filepath variable in the API endpoint.Recommendations
For Peppermint Ticket Management versions 0.2.4 and earlier, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the "/api/v1/ticket/1/file/download" API endpoint until a patch is available. Avoid using the
filepath variable in this endpoint to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
