CVE-2023-4719

CVSS v3.1

7.2

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions The Simple Membership plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 4.3.5
Description The issue is related to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the list type parameter due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. Unauthenticated attackers could inject arbitrary web scripts into pages that are being executed if they can successfully trick a user into taking an action, such as clicking a malicious link.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 4.3.5, update to a version later than 4.3.5 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the list type parameter to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the list type parameter in affected pages until the issue is resolved.
