Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Click Studios Passwordstate versions prior to 9811
Description
An issue was discovered that allows existing users, specifically Security Administrators, to use the System Wide API Key to read or delete private password records when used with the "PasswordHistory API endpoint". It is also possible to use the Copy/Move Password Record API Key to copy or move private password records.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 9811, consider disabling the use of the System Wide API Key and the Copy/Move Password Record API Key until a patch is available. Restrict access to the PasswordHistory API endpoint to minimize the risk of exploitation. Update to version 9811 or later to resolve the issue.
