CVE-2023-4920

CVSS v3.1

8.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions The BEAR for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.1.3.3
Description The issue is related to Cross-Site Request Forgery due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the woobe save options function. This allows unauthenticated attackers to modify the plugin's settings via a forged request if they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link. Additionally, insufficient input sanitization and escaping result in the possibility of malicious script injection.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 1.1.3.3, consider updating to a version that addresses the missing or incorrect nonce validation issue. As a temporary workaround, restrict access to the woobe save options function to minimize the risk of exploitation. Ensure proper input sanitization and escaping to prevent malicious script injection.
